Changing the Way You Think About Oral Health.

Tooth Replacement

Do You Have Missing Teeth?

Dr. Tzendzalian Offers Many Options to Replace Missing Teeth.

Missing teeth erode your confidence and lower your self-esteem. No one wants to smile, speak or laugh and reveal empty spaces in their mouth.

But missing teeth are also harmful to your health.

When a tooth is lost, it leaves an empty space in your mouth, causing your remaining teeth to shift position as well as bone loss. Even a denture does not stop bone loss. This loss of bone is not only uncomfortable, it can make you look significantly older. The changes caused by missing teeth affect your bite and cause TMJ disorders and other bite-related pain.

Don't take chances. With the many treatment options available, you have many choices to replace a missing tooth or missing teeth and save yourself from losing vital bone structure.

Crowns

A crown, also called a cap, is a custom-made restoration that repairs and strengthens a tooth that has fractured, has a large cavity, has an old filling that has failed, or has had root canal therapy. Unlike an inlay or onlay, a crown completely covers the tooth. Dr. Tzendzalian prefers crowns fabricated of all-porcelain for strength, endurance and appearance. Crowns can also be used for cosmetic purposes, enhancing the appearance of a tooth that is discolored or misshapen.

Bridges
A dental bridge is a custom-made false tooth (or teeth) that is placed between two healthy teeth, filling in the empty space. Dr. Tzendzalian prefers metal-free dental bridges. Without metal, the bridge absorbs light, creating a natural looking smile. These bridges are also non-reactive to temperature changes, improving the fit, durability and comfort of the bridge. Bridges reduce the risk of gum disease, correct some bite problems and improve speech.

Dental Implants
Dental implants are permanent fixtures that replace both the tooth and the root. They are ideal for people who have a missing tooth or missing teeth, (perhaps due to an accident), but are in good general oral health. Dental implants are versatile, strong and natural looking. First a titanium "root" is surgically placed in your jawbone. Once it heals, a custom ceramic "tooth" is crafted and permanently placed on the root.

Dental implants improve your health by creating a comfortable bite and enabling you to bite and chew. They also reduce your chance of developing gum disease and enhance your appearance.

Dental implants can be used to replace one, several or all the teeth and can also be used for implant-supported dentures.

Implant Supported Dentures
First, several implants are placed around the dental arch and then an impression is made for a denture. The denture is then secured in place by the implants. Implant-supported dentures are a very popular alternative to traditional dentures. Because they are more secure, they increase your confidence and comfort when speaking, eating and smiling!

Full & Partial Dentures
A denture is a removable appliance that replaces missing teeth and adjacent tissues. Made of resin and porcelain, full dentures are used to replace all the teeth. When some healthy teeth remain, a partial denture can be used. A partial denture also keeps the remaining healthy teeth from shifting positions in the mouth.

Full and partial dentures improve chewing ability and speech, and support facial muscles. Dentures also enhance appearance.

CEREC technology allows us to create and place ceramic restorations, including crowns, onlays and veneers in only one visit. This amazing system takes a digital image of your tooth and then mills a custom restoration from solid ceramic block in just a few minutes. We can then place the restoration as soon as it's done. There are no impressions, no temporaries, no waiting for a lab to make and send the restoration. You have no concerns about an incorrect fit and because there's no second visit, there's no second shot and no need to take off any more time from work!

"I felt like everyone really cared about me and my general health (not just my teeth). Dr. T and his team took their time with me which is so rare in the day and age where insurance companies are increasing the pressure to see as many patients as possible. I really appreciated it."
